Self-Clinching Nuts

Self-Clinching nuts provide a strong female thread in panels that are too thin to be conventionally tapped. They are installed by placing them in properly pre-cut holes in sheets and applying enough force for metal to cold flow into an undercut.

This allows the nut to be integrated into the sheet with a strong bond, but installs flush on the underside of the panel. The serrated ring prevents the nut from rotating and they have excellent torque and push out characteristics.

Types of Captive Self-Clinching Nuts Available at TCH

  • CFAS,CFAC: Floating Nuts
  • CFFS; Floating Locking Nuts
  • CFSP: Nuts for Stainless Steel
  • CFB/CFBS: Blind Press Nuts
  • C/CS, CA: Steel and Stainless Steel Nuts
  • CFH, CFHN:Steel and Heavy Duty Nuts
  • CKN: KAL-Nuts
  • CFL: Flush Nuts
  • CFE, CFEO, CFEX: Miniature Self-Locking Fasteners
  • CRT: Self-Locking Nuts
  • CPL, CPLC: Top Collar Lock Nuts

Floating Nuts

CFAS & CFAC floating clinch nuts provide a self-clinching fastener with a floating nut that compensates for mating misalignments to .030 inches (.8mm).

Part Number:

CFAS, CFAC

Cross Reference:

AS, AC

Floating Locking Nuts

CFFS & CFFC floating clinch nuts provide a self-clinching fastener with a floating nut that compensates for mating misalignments to .030inches (.8mm) and provides prevailing torque for the mating screw equivalent to MIL-N-25027 specifications.

Part Number:

CFFS, CFFC

Cross Reference:

LAS, LAC

Nuts for Stainless Steel

CFSP self-clinching nuts provide strong load-bearing threads in stainless sheet metal as thin as .030inches (.8mm).

Part Number:

CFSP

Cross Reference:

SP

Blind Press Nuts

CFB & CFBS blind, sealed-thread, press nuts are designed to provide extended thread lengths in thin sheet metal. Press nuts provide a seal against the entrance of dirt, oils, moisture, and corrosive atmospheres. They are usually more economical to use than nut and screw-type hardware that require elaborate seals and special assembly procedures.

Part Number:

CFB, CFBS

Cross Reference:

B, BS

Steel & Stainless Steel Nuts

C & CS nuts provide strong load-bearing threads in sheet metal and other thin section assemblies. C & CS nuts meet spec. features of MIL-N-45938/1.

Part Number:

C/CS, CA

Cross Reference:

S, SS/CLS, CLSS, CLA

Steel & Heavy Duty Nuts

CFH nut fasteners are available in both heat-treated and nonheat-treated versions, offering an opportunity to up-grade fastening quality with appreciable cost reduction over weld nuts.

Part Number:

CFH, CFHN

Cross Reference:

H, HN

KAL-Nuts

CKN & CKNS self-clinching KAL-nuts provide strong internal threads in sheet material as thin as 1 mm. They are available in both heat-treated carbon steel and stainless steel material.

Part Number:

CKN

Flush Nuts

CFL flush nuts offer the advantage of being completely flush within the sheet while providing load-bearing threads in materials too ductile to tap. All dimensions are identical to industry standards.

Part Number:

CFL

Cross Reference:

F

Miniature Self-Locking Fasteners

CFE self-clinching fasteners are designed to provide strong threads in a minimum of space. They are available with locking and non-locking threads and are directly interchangeable with industry standards.

Part Number:

CFE, CFEO, CFEX

Cross Reference:

FE, FEO, FEX

Self-Locking Nuts

CRT series fasteners provide a low-installed-cost solution where a clinching fastener with repeat locking torque is required. The design allows for greater reusability and minimizes the possibility of thread damage of the mating screw.

Part Number:

CRT

Cross Reference:

LK

Top Collar Lock Nuts

CPL top collar lock nuts combine reliable self-clinching mounting with a reusable non-metallic thread locking element.

Part Number:

CPL, CPLC

Cross Reference:

PL, PLC
